Editorial Policy

Sada Journal is an independent English-language news magazine covering Morocco: politics, the economy, society, culture, sport and travel. We write for international readers and the Moroccan diaspora, and we aim to make Moroccan affairs understandable to readers who may know little about the country.

What we publish

We publish news coverage, explainers and analysis about Morocco. News reporting describes verified events. Explainers and analysis provide context and interpretation, and are written to be useful long after the day’s headlines.

Sources and verification

Our reporting is based on primary and secondary sources, including official statements, government publications, parliamentary and court records, wire reports and established Moroccan and international news outlets. We name or link to our sources where practical, and we verify facts before publication. Figures such as casualty tolls, case counts and official announcements are re-checked as new information becomes available, and developing stories are updated accordingly.

Use of AI tools

Sada Journal uses AI-assisted editorial tools as part of its production process. How we use these tools, and the editorial controls around them, are set out in our AI Transparency Policy. Editorial responsibility for everything we publish remains with the publication.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the publication alone. We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage. If sponsored or paid content is ever published, it will be clearly labelled as such.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Our Corrections Policy explains how to request a correction and how we handle updates to published stories.

Contact

Readers can reach the editorial desk through our Contact page. We welcome corrections, additional context and story tips.
